White. Clean. Soft. Dreamy. These are all words that can be used to describe the beautiful Finch Studios. I’ve long adored photographer Angie De La O and love her brand: soft & creamy with a touch of vintage charm. Today is extra-special because Angie is sharing her gorgeous packaging and giving us some insight into her vision and creative process. Take it away, Angie!
ANGIE: I love white and grey – vintage and lace and of course the pureness of a baby’s skin. I think the color white is very classic and will never go out of style.
ANGIE: I want my clients to enjoy the entire process of receiving their portraits; opening their packages and have it feel clean and natural, simple and unique. I am a boutique photographer so I want their entire experience to be memorable and inspirational.
ANGIE: I like it when they see my packaging and know that its a Finch Studio product. This can be one of the many reasons why they keep coming back.
ANGIE: I like to frequent antique stores for props and such and love all the white washed weathered furniture and wanted to incorporate that feeling of a well loved piece into my packaging.
ANGIE: Then I add a bit of elegance with the satin ribbon and finish it off with a minimalist label with our studio name, in white of course. My packaging changes throughout time but it still incorporates all the same colors- white- cream-oatmeal and grey and textured pieces of twine and such.
ANGIE: As for where it all comes from, I use the boutique packaging from my lab and bought ribbon and twine from a local shop and the stickers are via vistaprint.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your packaging with us, Angie. I love how you’ve taken something so simple and made it truly elegant and luxurious. The fact that it’s making use of your lab’s boutique packaging goes to show that you don’t have to invest in large quantities of boxes and ribbons in order to make a lasting impression on your clients. Thank you for being so inspirational!
